Spathiphyllum

In the natural environment spathiphyllum grows in the lower tier of the rainforest and is a tolerates shade, but at home it is best to keep it under bright diffuse light, for example, on the eastern window. Watering in the period of vegetation and flowering should be abundant, but the roots of spathiphyllum do not tolerate stagnation of moisture, so observe moderation and let the top layer of the substrate to dry between watering. In winter, watering is reduced, but the substrate should not dry completely. Spatifillum requires high humidity, so in the spring and summer it is useful to spray to the plant often or simply to wipe the leaves with a damp sponge, and in winter it is better to keep the pot on a pallet with wet pebbles or expanded clay.
